In 2001, a 10 year old girl was looking for help for her school science fair, and she found it from a friend of her father, John Bedini.
John helped her to build an electric generator which she submitted to the science fair. To the amazement of the judges, the generator, (powered by a small 9V battery), continued to charge the other batteries for almost an entire week, without additional input power. Scratching their heads, they awarded her "Best of Show", and a legend was born.
In 2004, John patented the device, (which became known as the “Simple School Girl Generator”, or “SSG” for short). The patenting of this device sparked a great deal of interest among engineers and DIY’er experimenters alike, who have been replicating his work for decades with the same excitement as when it was first introduced at that science fair.
Because of it’s ability to produce a superior charge to batteries relative to the input power, it has become increasingly popular for Off Grid-ers, campers, and enthusiasts. A simple spin of the wheel by hand, and the generator will run without traditional fuel for long periods of time. It goes without saying this feature can be useful for charging back up batteries in Off Grid applications, such as RV's or cabins.

One of the engineers who knew John from the audio world is Ryan Thompson, owner of Lightning Audio & Sound. One of Ryan’s passions was to make John’s work readily available with standardized, professional, reliable parts, so that anyone can use them for research or practical use.
These parts are designed to work reliably, consistently, and removing the guesswork, so that Bedini Generators are now a reliable method for providing back up power, regardless of the sun or wind.
The complete Bedini Generator includes a carbon fiber Rotor with 16 Magnets, stainless steel keyed Shaft, oversized Master Coil, Bedini Circuit Board, Recovery Circuit Board, Input Battery, Charge Batteries, and accessories. The Bedini Generator runs without traditional fuel, while charging batteries, making it ideal for Off Grid or camping.
12V In 48V Out

This is the classic Bedini circuit board that works in conjunction with a rotor to pulse the current in such a way as to create a radiant high voltage spikes, which provides the superior amount of output charge.
This circuit board will work with any rotor and coil that is designed with Bedini guidelines.
Components on the board are optimized for maximum efficiency. There are 6 Inputs (positive and negative wires from a 12V Input Battery, and the 4 wires from a Bifilar Coil), and 2 outputs (positive and negative wires to the Charge Battery(ies). The variable resistor changes the charge rate, and the indicator light lets you know the most efficient charge rate. Another indicator light warns if the voltage is too high. Designed for 12V DC Input, and 48V Output.
If different voltages are needed contact us for a modified board. When used in conjunction with the Recovery Circuit Board, there is even greater efficiency in terms of higher output for battery charging. Assembled in the U.S. by disabled veterans.
12V DC Input, and 48V Output.

The Recovery Circuit Board can be added to the Bedini Board in order to super charge the Bedini Generator, increasing output to the charge battery.
This is a very exciting addition to the Bedini circuit world, which improves the circuit in many ways. In addition to increasing output to the charge battery, the Recovery Board also modifies a Bedini Generator so that it can handle a larger voltage range, (12V to 450V). It also modifies it so that it does very little if any damage to the charge battery. And lastly, it protects the Bedini circuit board against potential damage from high voltage spikes.
So, more power output, higher voltage range, little to no battery damage, and protects the Bedini board.
This Board is positioned in between the Bedini Circuit Board and the Charge Battery. There are 2 Inputs, (positive and negative wires from the Bedini Board), and 2 outputs, (positive and negative wires to the Charge Battery).
Recovery Boards are designed to output to a 48V Battery or Battery Bank. If outputting to a different voltage battery bank, contact us for a modified board. Indicator light shows when the charges are sent to the charge battery, (in 48V pulses). Assembled in the U.S. by disabled veterans.

This coil is specially designed for a Bedini Generator. It is Bifilar, (2 wires in the same coil), with over 800 turns.
The Core is made of a combination of stainless steel and aluminum for maximum efficiency with drag reduction at the same time. The oval shape gives more surface area to the conductors and coil, to maximize current. Can be used with any Bedini Generator

This precision rotor is imade from non magnetic composite carbon material to maximize efficiency and reduce magnetic drag.
There are 16 ceramic magnets embedded in the outer rim. The magnets in the Rotor are designed to match the Bedini Master Coil, to make full use of the magnets and coil surface area, to maximize output. These Rotors 12" diameter are precision made to reduce wobble at high RPM.

1/2" diameter, stainless steel shaft. 6" length, with 2" length key in the center, (1/8" key depth).
Shaft material is designed specifically for a Bedini Generator to reduce magnetic drag for maximum rpm. Designed to fit into the Rotor sold in this store.
